William Van Vleet is President and Chief Executive Officer of Applied Signal Technology, Inc. Prior to his selection as CEO in August 2008, he served as the company's Chief Operating Officer, a position he assumed in November 2007. Mr. Van Vleet joined the company in July 2005 as Executive Vice President of the Sensor Signal Processing Group in connection with the company's acquisition of Dynamics Technology, Inc. Mr. Van Vleet served as President and CEO of Dynamics Technology from 2002 to 2005, guiding the company to expanding revenues each year and tripling the company in three years. Prior to that, he completed an accomplished 22-year career with The Boeing Company, where he led a division addressing the intelligence community with programs in communications, maritime and information warfare systems with annual revenues of $200M/year. He also served as President of the Boeing subsidiary Argo Systems, Inc., consolidating and integrating the acquisition. Mr. Van Vleet is a two-time recipient of the National Management Association Manager-of-the-Year, the Rockwell Chairman's Award and Hughes Engineer-of-the-Year award.
