WILLIAM W. LINTON is President and Chief Executive Officer of
Call-Net Enterprises Inc., where he is responsible for developing
the company's business strategy and guiding its execution across
all lines of business. He joined the company in September 2000.
Mr. Linton has more than 23 years of experience in the high-
technology sector where he has held senior positions with top
firms in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Call-
Net Enterprises, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Prior Data Sciences Ltd. Previous to that he was Executive Vice
President and Chief Financial Officer of SHL Systemhouse Inc. Mr.
Linton came to Toronto in 1978 to work for Rogers Communications
Inc. He held a variety of positions and, when he left Rogers in
1994, was Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of
Rogers Cantel Inc. A native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, he is a
graduate of St. Mary's University with a Bachelor of Commerce
degree and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered
Accountants. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of
Call-Net Enterprises, he is a director of Diversinet Corporation
and a member of the Board of Governors of the Information
