WILLIAM F. DWYER was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief
Investment Officer of M&T Investment Group in January 2000. In this
capacity, he oversees the M&T Capital Advisors Group, which currently
manages over $8.5 billion in assets. He is also closely involved in the
management of the VISION Group of Funds. Mr. Dwyer, who began his
career as a securities analyst, has more than 34 years of investment
experience. Most recently, he served as CIO of Citizen's Financial
Group in Rhode Island for six years, managing investments for high net
worth clients throughout New England. Beginning in early 1980s, Mr.
Dwyer held the positions of Senior Portfolio Manager, Director of
Research, Chair of the Stock Selection Committee and Market Strategist
at Bank of New England in Boston and, subsequently, at Fleet Bank.
Prior to that, he served as Senior Portfolio Manager at Lincoln First
for ten years, where he specialized in high net worth and employee
benefits investment portfolios. Mr. Dwyer earned a BA degree from St.
Michael's College in Vermont. He earned an MBA from Western New England
College in Springfield, Massachusetts and is a Certified Financial
Analyst (CFA). Additionally, Mr. Dwyer has attended post-graduate
studies at Princeton University and Colgate-Darden University and is a
former President of The Society of Security Analysts, Rochester, New
York. A native of East Hartford, Connecticut, Mr. Dwyer has relocated
to Orchard Park with his wife of 35 years, Loreen. They have three
grown sons. Recently, Mr. Dwyer outlined his vision for M&T Capital
