WADE F. B. THOMPSON co-founded Thor Industries, Inc. with Peter B.
Orthwein on August 29, 1980. Since that time the company has grown
through a combination of internal growth and acquisitions into the
largest manufacturer of recreation vehicles and mid-size buses. For the
year ended July 31, 2004, Thor sales and net income were $2.188 billion
and $106 million, respectively. On July 31, 2004, Thor had $199 million
cash and zero debt. Mr. Thompson is a trustee of the Municipal Art
Society and Mystic Seaport Museum. He is the founder of The Drive
Against Prostate Cancer and the Seventh Regiment Armory Conservancy. Profile
