W. SHANNON REID is Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of First
Capital Group. His responsibilities include co-managing the Evergreen
Select Strategic Growth Fund, as well as private accounts. Prior to
joining First Capital Group, Mr. Reid served with Falcon Investments,
Ltd. in Boston as a Senior Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager. He
received his BA from the University of Virginia. Mr. Reid is a Chartered
Financial Analyst. His memberships include the Association for
Investment Management and Research (AIMR) and the North Carolina Society
