Billy Hwan, CPA, CFA, is the lead Portfolio Manager of the Parnassus Value Equity strategy and a Senior Analyst. He is responsible for portfolio management of the firm’s Value Equity strategy and firmwide investment research. Mr. Hwan joined Parnassus Investments in 2012 after serving as a Parnassus research intern. Prior to joining Parnassus, he held roles in equity research at Dodge & Cox in San Francisco and at the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. Mr. Hwan received his bachelor’s degree in engineering from Stanford University and a master’s in accountancy from the University of Houston.
