TOM NORTON is a Vice President and Portfolio Manager for John Hancock
Funds. He is a member of the mid-cap equity team that manages the John
Hancock Mid Cap Growth Fund. Mr. Norton is also a member of the small
cap equity team that manages the Small Cap Growth Fund. Mr. Norton
joined John Hancock Funds in 2002. Previously, he was head of the Global
Technology sector team and an investment manager on the Baring US equity
team that managed $3.2 billion in assets. He also held a variety of
investment analyst roles at State Street Bank & Trust Company. Mr.
Norton has been in the investment industry since 1987. He earned a BA
degree in Economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the
University of Massachusetts. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Profile
