THOMAS W. KITCHIN is Chairman, President & CEO of Jameson Inns, Inc.,
which he founded in 1987. Jameson Inns is a limited lodging company
headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia with locations in Alabama, Georgia and
South Carolina. Prior to founding Jameson Inns, Mr. Kitchin spent 10
years in the oil and gas industry and served as chief executive officer
for an oil and gas company. He also spent 16 years in the banking
industry in various capacities, including president of a bank.
Currently, Mr. Kitchin serves as a director of the Association of
Publicly Traded Companies, an association that represents public
companies that trade over the NASDAQ system, New York Stock Exchange and
American Stock Exchange; director of Southern Innkeepers Association;
director of the American Hotel and Motel Association; director and
Industry Advisory Board member of the Georgia Southern University
Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Administration; Academic Advisory
Board; director of the Northside Hospital Advisory Board; most recently
elected 1997 chairman of the Georgia Hospitality and Travel Association.
Mr. Kitchin recently received the American Hotel and Motel Association
"Economy Lodging Person of the Year" award. Profile
