THOMAS M. LORD is Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President
of Corporate Development of Allegiance Telecom, Inc. Along with Royce J.
Holland, Allegiance's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Lord is
a co-Founder of Allegiance Telecom. He is responsible for overseeing the
company's mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and investor
relations functions. Previously, Mr. Lord spent 18 years in investment
banking, securities research and portfolio management. In the five-year
period ending December 1996, while associated with Bear, Stearns & Co.
as a Managing Director, Mr. Lord oversaw 43 different transactions
valued in excess of $6 billion for the telecommunications, information
services and technology industries. Prior to joining Bear, Stearns &
Co., Mr. Lord was Vice President of Research for Johnson, Lane, Space,
Smith & Co. where he covered technology, telecom and information
services companies. Mr. Lord also worked for the Peoria Journal Star
(Peoria, Illinois) as Assistant Controller and was responsible for
overseeing retirement funds, pension plans, ERISA and 401(k) plans. Mr.
Lord received a BS in Economics from Auburn University and an MBA in
Finance from the University of Miami. Mr. Lord is also a Chartered
