James T. Prokopanko became President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2007. Mr. Prokopanko joined The Mosaic Company as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in July 2006. Previously, he was a Corporate Vice President at Cargill, Incorporated, where he had executive responsibility for procurement and served as a leader of the Cargill ag producer services platform. After joining Cargill in 1978, he served in a wide range of leadership positions, including Vice President of the North American crop inputs business. During his Cargill career, Mr. Prokopanko was engaged in retail agriculture businesses in Canada, the United States, Brazil, Argentina and the United Kingdom. In addition to his role as President and CEO of Mosaic, Mr. Prokopanko serves on the board of directors for Mosaic, Canpotex and the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, The Fertilizer Institute and the International Plant Nutrition Institute.
