TED A. PONKO is the Chief Investment Officer for the Asset Management
Group of Centura Banks, Inc. He is a Chartered Financial Consultant
(ChFC) and a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS). He is
presently a Level II candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst
program. Mr. Ponko earned a BA with Honors from the College of William
and Mary, and an MA and PhD from the University of North Carolina at
