TERRY D. HILDESTAD became the President and Chief Operating Officer of
MDU Resources Group, Inc., effective May 1, 2005. Mr. Hildestad
previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Knife
River Corporation, the construction materials and mining subsidiary of
MDU Resources. He began his career with the company in 1974 at Knife
River, where he served in several operating positions before becoming
its President in 1991. Mr. Hildestad holds a Bachelor's degree from
Dickinson (North Dakota) State University and has completed the Advanced
Management Program at Harvard School of Business. Mr. Hildestad is a
member of the MDU Resources Management Policy Committee and of the
Boards of Directors of Knife River and its subsidiary companies. He also
serves on the Western North Dakota US Bank Advisory Board and on the

MARTIN A. WHITE is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer
of MDU Resources Group, Inc. He graduated from Montana State University
and Harvard's Advanced Management Program. He worked in various areas
before joining MDU Resources in 1991 as Vice President of Corporate
Development. On April 1, 1998, he was named the President and Chief
Executive Officer of MDU Resources. On February 15, 2001, he was elected
