STEVEN SPRAGUE is President and CEO of Wave Systems Corp. Wave
has developed electronic commerce technology that provides rental
and pay-per-use distribution of electronic content through
Internet, CD-ROM and broadband delivery channels. Mr. Sprague was
a Vice President of Wave from 1992 to 1995. In June 1995 he
founded Wave Interactive Network, a specialized consumer
distribution channel of Wave Systems Corp. After successful
development of the channel, Wave Interactive Network was
reacquired by Wave Systems Corp. Wave mobilized its efforts to
focus on marketing its distributed information metering and
transaction service, the Wave System, for use in consumer
entertainment and education applications. Mr. Sprague is the son
of Wave Chairman Peter Sprague, who founded the company in 1988.
He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. Profile
PETER J. SPRAGUE is Chairman and CEO of Wave Systems Corp. Mr. Sprague
founded Wave Systems Corp. in 1988 to introduce new business models that
allow producers and users of electronic information to distribute and
purchase content. Prior to founding Wave, Mr. Sprague served as Chairman
of National Semiconductor Corporation. In 1962 he started a firm in Iran
that later became the largest cold storage facility in the Middle East.
Mr. Sprague served as Chairman of a wide range of business ventures
including Design Research, the Advent Corporation and Aston Martin Ltd.
He holds patents in the area of projection cathode ray tubes and in the
field of information distribution. Mr. Sprague received his Bachelor of
Arts degree in Political Science from Yale in 1961, studied Political
Science at MIT and participated in the doctoral program in Economics at
