STEVEN J. BORICK was named President and Chief Operating Officer of
Superior Industries International, Inc., in 2003 after serving as
Executive Vice President since 2000. He has been a member of the Board
of Directors since 1981. During his tenure as a senior executive at
Superior, Mr. Borick spearheaded the ongoing capacity expansion and
globalization programs that have played a crucial role in increasing
Superior's share of the OEM aluminum wheel market. With a capital budget
exceeding $150 million, these programs involved the expansion or
construction of new facilities in the United States, Mexico and Europe
that employ more than 7,000 people and increased the company's wheel
manufacturing capacity by more than 25% since 2000 to approximately 18
million wheels annually. He also heads the team responsible for the
company's entry into the OEM aluminum suspension components market, an
effort that included the design and construction of a dedicated,
manufacturing facility and the development of in-house engineering,
manufacturing and marketing expertise required for success in this new
venture, and developed and implemented the company's 'Working Smarter'
training and education campaign focused on reducing costs, improving
efficiency and enhancing communication throughout the organization. In
addition to his responsibilities at Superior, Mr. Borick is President
and COO of Texakota Inc., an oil and gas exploration and development
company based in Houston, Texas, that he acquired in 1976, and General
Partner of its production affiliate, Texakota Oil Company. He is an
active member of the Independent Petroleum Association of America. Mr.
Borick also serves on the Board of Directors, is Chairman of the
Compensation Committee and a member of the Audit Committee of MDC
Holdings, Inc., a large NYSE-listed home builder based in Denver,
Colorado, and is a Director of Richmond Homes, Denver. Mr. Borick,
received his degree in Business Administration from Western State
College in Gunnison, Colorado, in 1975, and was honored to deliver the
commencement address to the graduating class of 2003. Profile
