STEPHEN H. GORDON is one of the founding stockholders of Commercial
Capital Bancorp, Inc., and has served as its Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer since June 1999 and as the Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer of the Commercial Capital Bank since it was acquired
in January 2000. Mr. Gordon has also served as Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer of Commercial Capital Mortgage since the formation of
CCM in April 1998. Mr. Gordon has also served as the Chief Executive
Officer of ComCap since founding the company in February 1997. Prior to
founding ComCap, Mr. Gordon served as the sole shareholder, Director and
President of Gen Fin, Inc., the general partner of Genesis Financial
Partners, LP, a hedge fund, from July 1995 to December 1996. From
October 1988 to July 1995, Mr. Gordon was an investment banker with
Sandler O'Neill & Partners, LP, a New York-based investment-banking
firm, and was a partner of the firm from January 1992. At Sandler
O'Neill, Mr. Gordon specialized in advising management and Directors of
financial institutions on such issues as strategic planning, capital and
liquidity management, balance sheet management and restructuring,
asset/liability management, and the enhancement of shareholder value.
During such years, much of Mr. Gordon's focus was on the restructuring
of loan and securities portfolios and the development of funding
strategies for his clients. Profile
