MICHAEL J. GRONDAHL is a Vice President and Senior Research Analyst at
U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray, covering the specialty finance universe.
Under the specialty finance umbrella, he follows consumer lenders and
commercial lenders in the automobile, mortgage and various commercial
industries. Mr. Grondahl helped kick off the commercial finance/leasing
research effort at U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray in 1997; his recent
industry research reports include Commercial Finance: A Review of the
Big Caps and Commercial Finance: Current Perspectives. Prior to joining
the firm, he spent three years as a Manager for Ernst & Young in Moscow,
Russia, where he focused on western and Russian financial institutions.
Mr. Grondahl previously worked for Deloitte & Touche as a Senior
Accountant for over three years. He is a graduate of the University of

BRADLEY A. BERNING is a Senior Research Analyst at U.S. Bancorp Piper
Jaffray, specializing in financial business services. He previously
worked with Jeffrey Evanson, who formerly was the Specialty Finance
Senior Research Analyst for U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray. Under the
specialty finance umbrella, Mr. Berning helped establish the firm's
research effort into diversified finance companies and lenders
specializing in credit cards, automobiles, and mortgages. Mr. Berning
has also worked for KPMG Peat Marwick LLP, where he served as a Senior
Accountant in the financial services audit practice. He is a graduate of

TWST: Gentlemen, how do you divide your coverage at U.S. Bancorp PiperJaffray?
Mr. Grondahl: We have divided specialty finance into two areas. I am
concentrating on all of the commercial
