J. Thomas May is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Simmons First National Corporation and Simmons First National Bank. Mr. May is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he earned an MBA, the National Commercial Lending School and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Mr. May also served in the U.S. Marine Corps. His civic and community involvement includes serving on the following boards: University of Arkansas Foundation, University of Arkansas board of advisers, University of Arkansas Walton College of Business dean's executive advisory board, Arkansas Executive Forum, Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield, Baptist Health, Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, The Arkansas Research Alliance, Fifty for the Future. He also volunteers for Habitat for Humanity. Mr. May previously served as Chairman of the Arkansas Bankers Association and Chairman of the University of Arkansas board of trustees. Mr. May's honors include the Arkansas Sheriffs' Youth Ranch Children's Award, Arkansas Business Hall of Fame, University of Arkansas Citation of Distinguished Alumni Award, Razorback Foundation Distinguished Service Award, Sam M.
