SIDNEY HOFFMAN, an Analyst at Cantella & Co., Inc., served as an
Aviation Cadet in the U.S. Navy in 1944. In 1945, still with the U.S.
Navy, he studied electronics theory and practice for 11 months. In 1948,
he graduated cum laude from Harvard College with an AB in Electronic
Theory and Practice and then went on to get his MBA from Harvard
Business School in 1950. He has 13 years of experience in manufacturing,
as well as 10 years' teaching experience at Clark University and Harvard
College. With over 40 years as an analyst and stockbroker, Mr. Hoffman
has served as the Director of Research for several New York Stock
Exchange firms in Boston and as a member of the Board of Directors for
several high tech companies. He has also held positions as Treasurer of
Harvard Business School, Class of 1950, President of the Harvard
Business School Club of Worcester, Chairman of the Harvard Business
School Fund Drive for Boston and Worcester and finally as Treasurer and
Board Member of the Alliance for the Mentally Ill in Massachusetts. Profile
