SCOTT T. BRAYMAN is Vice President of Sentinel Advisors Company, which
manages the Sentinel Funds and other investment portfolios of the joint
venture partnership among three insurance companies ' National Life,
Provident Mutual, and Penn Mutual. He is also the Lead Portfolio Manager
of the Sentinel Small Company Fund and a member of the Equity Growth
Team. Under Mr. Brayman's leadership, the Sentinel Small Company Fund
seeks capital appreciation by investing primarily in a diversified
portfolio of carefully chosen common stocks issued by small and medium-
sized companies. The Fund seeks attractively valued companies that
operate superior businesses as well as have credible and properly
motivated management, a strong financial condition and superior
prospects for long-term growth. Mr. Brayman has more than 14 years of
investment management experience. He joined Sentinel as an Equity
Analyst in 1995 and was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 1996
before taking on his current responsibilities. Prior to joining
Sentinel, he was a Portfolio Manager and Director of Marketing for
Argyle Capital Management in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He graduated cum
laude from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor's degree in
Business Administration. Mr. Brayman earned his Chartered Financial
Analyst (CFA) designation in 1995 and is a member of the Association for
Investment Management and Research and The Vermont Securities Analysts
