SCHOND L. GREENWAY is Executive Director of Investor Relations and
Strategic Planning for DURECT Corporation. Mr. Greenway is primarily
responsible for a variety of duties including the development and
execution of investor relations programs, providing planning and counsel
on strategy, positioning, message development and the integration of
marketing communications into the overall financial communications
activities. He also assists in managing investment banking, equity
research and institutional and retail investor relationships. Mr.
Greenway is also responsible for providing strategic advice and counsel
to executive management and the Board of Directors with respect to
corporate financing activities and the evaluation of new business and
product investment opportunities. Mr. Greenway joined DURECT in
September 2000 as Director of Investor Relations and was promoted to
Senior Director of Investor Relations and Strategic Planning in 2001.
Prior to joining DURECT, Mr. Greenway held various positions at Morgan
Stanley. His last position was as a Senior Associate in the investment
banking division, where he gained corporate finance and M&A experience,
completing over $9 billion in transactions in industries such as
technology, telecommunications, health care and general industrials. Mr.
Greenway earned his MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business
Administration at the University of Virginia. He also received a BS in
Computer Information Systems from Florida A&M University. Mr. Greenway
received an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force
