ROUNDTABLE FORUM: WESTERN BANKS

MIKE MCMAHON, a Managing Director of Sandler O'Neill & Partners, LP, joined the firm in 1998. He is responsible for covering West Coast banks and thrifts, and mortgage finance companies on a national basis. Prior to joining Sandler O'Neill, he was an Associate at UBS Securities in San Francisco from 1996 to 1998, where he followed the mortgage finance industry. From 1980 to 1996, he was with First Interstate Bank of California where he was mainly focused on lending to the mortgage finance industry. He earned his BA from the University of San Diego in 1980. JAMES BRADSHAW, Vice President, Senior Research Analyst, Financial Services Team Leader, joined D.A. Davidson & Co. after seven years with Pacific Crest Securities in Portland, where he headed the financial services practice for the firm. Over that period, he provided research coverage on bank and thrift stocks throughout the West. Prior to his stint with Pacific Crest, he was a Commercial Bank Examiner with the State of California Banking Department. Donald A. Worthington is First Vice President, Research covering banks in California and the Pacific Northwest for Howe Barnes Hoefer & Arnett. Mr. Worthington joined Hoefer & Arnett in 2002 as a research analyst with the primary responsibilities of covering commercial banks and thrift institutions based in California. He has over 35 years of management and analytical experience in the financial services industry, including 26 years with the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco where he last served as Vice President, Credit. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from San Jose State University and an MBA degree in Finance from Golden Gate University. CAMPBELL K. CHANEY, CFA, is a Senior Vice President at Sanders Morris Harris. He was previously associated with Sutro & Co., Sandler ONeill and Partners, Rodman and Renshaw and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts, the Association of Investment Management and Research and the Security Analysts of San Francisco.
