ROUNDTABLE FORUM: SEMICONDUCTOR EQUIPMENT

TIMOTHY W. SUMMERS is a Senior Vice President with Stanford Group Company, specializing in the analysis of the semiconductor equipment and materials industry. He has almost 25 years of experience in equity analysis and research. Mr. Summers joined SGC in September 2003 from Investec, Inc., where he had followed the semiconductor equipment stocks since 2001. Prior to joining Investec, Mr. Summers had been First Vice President and senior semiconductor equipment analyst at PaineWebber. Mr. Summers has also been affiliated with Advest, Inc., where his research on the semiconductor equipment stocks landed him on Institutional Investor's Honorable Mention team. He has also held positions at Smith Barney, Prudential Insurance, and O'Connor and Associates. Mr. Summers has been widely quoted in major periodicals and numerous technical and financial publications. SHEKHAR PRAMANICK is Senior Analyst and Managing Director, Semiconductor Equipment and Manufacturing at Schwab SoundView Capital Markets. Before joining the firm in April 2004, Dr. Pramanick worked at Prudential Equity Group, LLC, as a senior analyst covering the semiconductor equipment and manufacturing sector since 2000. In 2001, Dr. Pramanick was recognized as Next Generation analyst by Institutional Investor survey. Dr. Pramanick's industry experience includes six years at Advanced Micro Devices. Dr. Pramanick received his PhD degree in materials science and engineering from North Carolina State University; his master's degree in physics from University of Oregon, and his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Regional Engineering College, India. ROBERT MAIRE joined Needham & Co. in May 2004, coming from Bear Stearns & Co. Prior to that he was with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette from 1996, covering semiconductor capital equipment. Before joining DLJ, he was with Morgan Stanley as a Research Analyst covering semiconductor equipment, peripherals, wireless and specialized systems. He was previously a manager in Morgan Stanley's Information Technology group. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Maire was a Manager in the Information Technology division of Bankers Trust Company. He holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and a BS degree in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. GERALD S. FLEMING joined WR Hambrecht + Co in March as a Senior Research Analyst covering semiconductor capital equipment. Mr. Fleming has 30 years of experience as a technology analyst covering semiconductor capital equipment, semiconductor devices, aerospace and electronics. Prior to joining WR Hambrecht + Co, he had worked for Oppenheimer & Co., Tucker Anthony Sutro and Bear Stearns. He was recently ranked number one of 70 semiconductor and equipment analysts and was awarded five-star ratings by StarMine for both EPS estimate accuracy and recommendation performance. Avinash Kant, Ph.D., joined D.A. Davidson & Co. in August 2008 to establish coverage of advanced materials companies focused on technology and clean technology. Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, Dr. Kant served as a Principal of Equity Research at First Albany/Broadpoint Capital. Previously, Dr. Kant covered the semiconductor capital equipment sector at Canaccord Adams and SG Cowen Securities Corporation. Prior to his sell-side career, Dr. Kant was involved with semiconductor processing research at chip manufacturers. Dr. Kant earned a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
