JORGE O. MARISCAL is the Chief Investment Strategist for Latin America and Director of the Latin America Equity Research Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. He also coordinated the firm's global emerging Markets research and became a Managing Director in 1999. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs in 1992, Mr. Mariscal worked at The Nomura Research Institute as Chief Strategist and Director of Research for Latin America. He received a BA in Economics from the Metropolitan University in Mexico City and a PhD from New York University in Economics and International Finance. Profile
Ramos, Ernesto
Ernesto Ramos, Ph.D., is Managing Director and Head of Equities at BMO Global Asset Management. Dr. Ramos joined BMO Global Asset Management U.S. in 2005. He is a member of the firm's investment committee and leads the team responsible for portfolio management and research for all equity strategies. Before joining the firm, he was Partner and Lead Portfolio Manager at Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management LLC. He began his career in investment management in 1992, and has a Ph.D. and an M.A. in statistics from Harvard University, and a B.S. in mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. EDUARDO M. CABRERA is a First Vice President, Senior Managing Director at Merrill Lynch and Chief Latin America Strategist. He has been an equity analyst on Wall Street for over 12 years. Previously, Mr. Cabrera worked for the British brokerage firm James Capel as one of the first Latin America equity analysts on Wall Street and prior to that, he worked at Paine Webber; Eppler Guerin & Turner; and at Raymond James & Associates. He is frequently featured on CNN, CNBC, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. Mr. Cabrera received his BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a double major in Economics from the University of Florida and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
