Rory Cowan founded Lionbridge Technologies, Inc., in 1996. Prior to founding the company, he served as an Executive Vice President and member of the management committee for RR Donnelley & Sons Company. Mr. Cowan also served as the CEO of Stream International Inc., a multibillion-dollar division of RR Donnelley. Mr. Cowan joined RR Donnelley in 1988 as Senior Vice President of the documentation services group, and he later became the group's President. Prior to Donnelley, Mr. Cowan was President and CEO of CSA Press of Hudson, Mass., a 1986 acquisition of RR Donnelley. He also held positions at Compugraphic Corporation, in Wilmington, Mass., and across the Atlantic in London. Mr. Cowan is currently a member of the board and the audit committee of LoJack Corporation, Chairman of the board of Sielox, LLC, and a member of the board of Invoke Solutions. Mr. Cowan served as Chairman of Interleaf until its sale to BroadVision, Inc.; Chairman of FairMarket, Inc., until its sale to eBay Inc.; and Chairman of NewsEdge Corporation until its sale to Thompson.
