ROGER BIEMANS is President of EnCana USA. He leads EnCana's upstream
operations in the USA, including Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico. He
received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from
the University of Calgary in 1982 and has since held increasingly
responsible technical and leadership positions at Saskatchewan Oil & Gas
Corp., City of Medicine Hat, Wascana Energy Inc., Alberta Energy Company
Ltd. and now EnCana. Mr. Biemans' leadership has resulted in significant
value creation through the growth in production and reserves in Western
Canada and he has been instrumental in the success of EnCana's expansion
into the USA. As a member of EnCana's corporate executive team, he is
involved in the development and execution of EnCana's strategic plan.
Mr. Biemans is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineering and the
Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy, and Petroleum. He is also a
member of the Upstream Committee of the American Petroleum Institute, a
member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the
Independent Producer Association of Mountain States, the Colorado Oil &
Gas Association, and a founding member of the Partnership For The West. Profile
