ROBERT J. STANZIONE is President and Chief Executive Officer of ARRIS
Group, Inc. ARRIS is a new company formed by the merger of ANTEC and
Arris Interactive, LLC, in August 2001. ARRIS is a global communications
technology leader in the development of advanced cable telephony
solutions and the delivery of converged services across the broadband
local access network. Mr. Stanzione joined ANTEC in 1998 as President,
Chief Operating Officer and a Director and was appointed to the CEO role
on January 1, 2000. Prior to joining ANTEC he was the President and CEO
of Arris Interactive, a Nortel Networks/ANTEC joint venture. As Arris'
first President, Mr. Stanzione grew the venture from a startup company
to the world market leader in cable telephony products. From 1969 to
1995, Mr. Stanzione held a wide range of senior management positions
with AT&T Network Systems (now Lucent). His last position with AT&T
before joining Arris, was as Vice President, Consumer Broadband
Networks, a business unit focused on bringing 'broadband' to homes over
phone and cable networks. He holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
from Clemson University, an ME degree in Industrial Engineering from
North Carolina State University and has completed executive development
programs at the University of Richmond, Babson College and the
International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland. He
serves as a Director of CoaXmedia and Evolve Products, Inc. He also
serves as Chairman of the Georgia Cystic Fibrosis Major Gifts Campaign. Profile
