ROBERT L. DESMOND, CPA, is Vice President of Research at Heartland
Advisors. Mr. Desmond has been Vice President with the company since
1995. Specializing in financial services companies, Mr. Desmond has over
30 years related experience starting as a National Bank Examiner. Prior
to joining Heartland, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of
Republic Capital Group, a billion dollar multi-thrift holding company.
Mr. Desmond is a graduate of Georgetown University.
