ROBERT F. HEINEMANN was named President and Chief Executive Officer of
Berry Petroleum in June, 2004. Mr. Heinemann joined the Board of
Directors in 2002 and served as Chairman of the Board before being named
President and CEO. Previously, Mr. Heinemann served as Vice-President
and Chief Technology Officer of Halliburton Company from 2000 to 2002.
Prior to Halliburton, he spent 20 years as a Mobil Oil employee, lastly
serving as Vice-President of Mobil Technology Company and General
Manager of the Mobil Exploration and Producing Technical Center. Mr.
Heinemann is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He
has published and presented over 50 technical articles in his career
focused on reservoir simulation, asset management, enhanced recovery and
technology management. He holds BE and PhD degrees in Chemical
