ROBERT K. GREEN assumed the role of President and Chief Executive
Officer of Aquila, Inc. (formerly UtiliCorp United) on January 1, 2002.
He previously served as president and chief operating officer from 1996
and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1993. Mr. Green
joined the company's Missouri Public Service division in 1988 and held a
number of positions, including Senior Vice President, Operations, and
Division President before moving to Aquila as Executive Vice President
in 1993. He has served as Chairman of Aquila Merchant Services, the
company's energy wholesaling and risk management subsidiary, since
December 1999. A graduate of Princeton University with a Bachelor's
degree in Engineering, Mr. Green received a Law degree from Vanderbilt
University. He is a member of national and local bar associations.
Before joining the utility industry, he was an Attorney with the Kansas
City firm of Blackwell, Sanders, Matheny, Weary & Lombardi from 1987 to
1988. In 1984, he was associated with Shearson Lehman Hutton in New York
as a Financial Analyst. Mr. Green is Chairman of the Initiative for a
Competitive Inner City in Kansas City and a member of the organization's
national Board of Directors. He also serves on the Boards of Directors
of Quanta Services, Inc., United Missouri Bank, and eScout. Profile
