ROBERT E. NOWACK, B.S, LL.B, is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Conor Pacific Environmental Technology. Mr. Nowack practiced law for 12
years in Toronto and Calgary from 1976 to 1988. His practice focused on
corporate finance, restructuring and mergers and acquisitions. During
that period, Mr. Nowack acted as a Director of a number of public and
private corporations. Mr. Nowack moved to Vancouver in 1989, to form
Conor Pacific Canada Inc. ('Conor'). Conor was formed as a private
investment company whose focus was the identification of and investment
in business opportunities. Conor completed the acquisition and financing
of a variety of businesses in partnership with CdnOxy, a Canadian
chartered bank, Imperial Metals and Sterling Capital. In the course of
an engagement with CdnOxy, Mr. Nowack identified the Wet Oxidation
Technology and the environmental industry as an investment opportunity.
Mr. Nowack played a significant role in founding CPET, acquiring the Wet
Oxidation Technology and structuring and financing the commercialization
efforts for the Wet Oxidation Technology as well as the development of
