ROBERT J. DIETRICH is Chief Financial Officer for MKS, Inc., and is
responsible for all financial, administrative and legal functions within
the company. Prior to joining MKS, he was with Cedara Software Corp.
where he served as CFO and Vice President, Finance and Administration
from September 1997 to June 2001. Mr. Dietrich also gained significant
financial and operational experience in a wide variety of roles at Mitel
Corporation in Ottawa, including assignments as Vice President,
Corporate Affairs, General Manager Network Products Division, Vice
President, Corporate Planning, Corporate Controller and Treasurer. Mr.
Dietrich served eight years in the Audit practice of Ernst & Young, and
four years in the company's mergers and acquisitions practice. Most
recently he joined the Corporate Governance Task Force for the Issues
and Policy Advisory Committee, Financial Executives International
Canada, where he serves as Chair. He earned his CA designation in 1977,
and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Queen's University. Profile
