RICHARD SOLOWAY is Chairman of the Board of Napco Security Systems,
Inc., a company he founded in 1972. Napco Security Systems, Inc., is a
$50 million manufacturer and marketer of a complete line of
technologically advanced, electronic security and fire detection
products, access control systems and digital lock equipment used in
residential, commercial, institutional and industrial installations. All
of the company's products are sold through a growing worldwide network
of wholesale distributors to alarm installation companies, access
control integrators, locksmiths, security specifiers and original
equipment manufacturers. An entrepreneur with a lifelong interest in
electronics and mechanics, Mr. Soloway began his career as a
manufacturer of components for electric garage door openers. In the late
1960s, he developed and supplied electronic equipment, including state-
of-the-art amplification systems to such leading rock bands of the day
as Eric Clapton's Cream. Mr. Soloway has over 30 years of experience in
electronics design and manufacturing and holds numerous patents. Mr.
Soloway is a graduate of The New York Institute of Technology and is
listed in Who's Who in Finance and Industry. He is married and resides
