Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc. – Sam Lee (pzz)

Sam Lee was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc., in March 2008, and he was named Chairman of the board of directors in May 2008. Previously he served as the President of Alta Hospitals System from January 2002 until Alta's acquisition by Prospect in August 2007. Mr. Lee was subsequently appointed Chairman of the board of directors of Brotman Medical Center, Inc., in April 2008. Mr. Lee's background is in health care- and technology-related private equity investment management, operational leadership, entrepreneurship, mergers and acquisitions, and leveraged financing for various corporations. Prior to Alta, Mr. Lee was a General Partner with Kline Hawkes & Co., a $500 million private equity firm that focuses on health care, technology and business services. Mr. Lee has been the lead/principal investor and director of several private and public companies. Additionally, he has worked in health care reimbursement, business office and operations, and in consulting and systems engineering for industry leaders such as Andersen Consulting, IBM and Verizon. Mr. Lee received his bachelor's degree in industrial and systems engineering from Georgia Tech, and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.
