Avram Fisher is a Vice President in BMO Capital Markets' equity research group, covering the engineering and construction sector since 2007. Previously, he was a Research Associate supporting the equity research group's coverage of business services, including professional services, for-profit education and training companies. He joined BMO Capital Markets in 2004 and was recognized by StarMine and the Financial Times for the accuracy of his earnings forecasts of engineering and construction companies in 2009. Before joining BMO Capital Markets, he worked in public and private equity research, first as an Analyst covering U.S. and Latin American telecommunications and media companies at the Cisneros Group of Companies, and later as a Research Associate covering the capital goods industry at Credit Suisse First Boston. Mr. Fisher has additional experience working as a corporate governance Analyst at GovernanceMetrics International, as a Private Investigator at BackTrack Reports, and as a Reporter and Editorial Assistant at The New York Observer and Gannett Co. newspapers.
