Peter Wagner was appointed Chairman of debitels Board of Management with effect as of June 1, 2000. He is the CEO of the company and in addition responsible for Corporate Development, Corporate Communications and Investor Relations, Internal Audit, International - including the debitel companies outside Germany. Before joining debitel, Wagner held various management positions at the German-American Group Wavetek Wandel Goltermann from 1998 he was President & CEO. Previously, Peter Wagner had been with Standard Elektronik Lorenz AG/ Alcatel SEL AG for 17 years; his last position there was Head of the Corporate Department for Transmission Systems. Wagner is Member of the Board of the German Association of Information, Telecommunications and Media Industries BITKOM, Berlin/Germany and Member of the Board of the State Association of Industry in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Stuttgart/Germany. Besides, he holds several non Executive Board memberships in companies and associations in Germany and abroad, as for example in the Supervisory Board of the Deutsche Messe AG (CeBit), Hanover/Germany. Peter Wagner studied mathematics and physics at the University of Mainz/Germany and completed his studies with a degree in mathematics.
Dr. Hermann Roemer was appointed member of the debitel Board of Management with effect from March 1, 2001. He has board responsibility for Finance, which includes the areas of Treasury and Cash Management, Controlling and Accounting, Sales Invoicing, Law and Purchasing and Logistics. Dr. Roemer came to debitel in October 1997 as Head of Controlling, at the end of 1999 the area of Controlling and Accounting was added to his responsibilities. Dr. Hermann Roemer began his career at the Daimler-Benz Group, where he performed different functions over a period of seven years. His last position there was head of the Board of Management office and personal assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler Services AG. Dr. Hermann Roemer obtained a masters degree in Business Administration at the University of Gttingen. He later took a doctors degree in Economics at the Technical University of Clausthal. Profile
