PAUL N. WRIGHT is President and Chief Executive Officer of Eldorado Gold
Corporation. He joined Eldorado Gold in July 1996 as Vice President,
Mining, then Senior Vice President, Operations in October 1997 and on
October 1, 1999, he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer
of the company. Mr. Wright is a graduate of the University of Newcastle
Upon Tyne with over 20 years' experience in the development operation of
open pit and underground gold mines. After working as Mill
Superintendent at the Dome Mine of Placer Dome Inc., he joined the
Redpath Group as an Area Manager, and subsequently Manager of Western
Operations. In 1991, he joined Granges Inc. to become General Manager of
the Hycroft Mining Operations in Nevada, and prior to joining Eldorado
he held the position of Vice President of Mining and Development,
Granges Inc. Mr. Wright is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining
Metallurgy, the Institution of Mining and Metallurgy and is a Chartered
