PAUL F. ROCHELEAU was elected Senior Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer of Albemarle Corporation, effective June 15,
2002. Mr. Rocheleau had served on Albemarle's Board of Directors
since February 2002. Prior to joining Albemarle, Mr. Rocheleau
was a consultant and had served as Chief Executive Officer of
Albright & Wilson Plc, United Kingdom from 1997 to 2000 and
President of Albright & Wilson Americas from 1992 to 1997. He
also has held various positions with Mobil Chemical Company and
Dupont and has more than 20 year's experience in the chemical
industry. A native of Richmond, Virginia, Mr. Rocheleau received
his BS degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of
Delaware and an MBA from the Darden Business School at the
University of Virginia. He serves as a trustee of the Virginia
Commonwealth University School of Engineering, where he is
currently Chairman of the Finance Committee. Profile
