ALDO J. MAZZAFERRO, JR., Vice President, joined Goldman Sachs in
December 2000 and works in the Steel Group covering steel companies.
Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, he was a Principal and co-Founder of
Anvil Capital Management, LLC, a hedge fund focused on steel, metals,
capital goods, and energy. Before that, Mr. Mazzaferro founded a
research, advisory, and consulting firm that served corporate and
institutional clients and focused on steel, metals, and other basic
industrial sectors. Prior to that, he worked at Deutsche Morgan
Grenfell, Inc., as a Director and Senior Steel Industry Analyst, where
he was a six-time member of Institutional Investor's All American
Research Team and a four-time member of The Wall Street Journal's All
Star Analyst Survey for stock picking. Mr. Mazzaferro is a CFA and
received his MBA in Finance from Northeastern University as well as a BA
