Vijay Rakesh joined the Chicago of ThinkEquity LLC office in April 2008, as
Senior Semiconductor Research Analyst focusing on the analog, memory and PC
semiconductors. Prior to ThinkEquity, he was the lead semiconductor analyst at
Oppenheimer for almost three years, and before that held research associate
positions at Investec Ernst and Piper Jaffray. Before starting his seven year
Wall Street career, he worked in the semiconductor industry for six years at
International Rectifier Corp. where he held engineering and management positions
in the power IC Fab in El Segundo, California. He is a graduate of the
prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, has a Master's degree in Materials
Science from the University of Florida, Gainesville and an MBA (Finance) degree
