William Kennedy is a portfolio manager Fidelity Management & Research Company (FMRCo.), the investment advisor for Fidelity's family of mutual funds. Fidelity Investments is a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing and other financial products and services to more than 20 million individuals, institutions and financial intermediaries. Mr. Kennedy manages Fidelity International Discovery Fund and Fidelity Advisor International Discovery Fund and co-manages Fidelity Worldwide Fund and Fidelity Advisor Worldwide Fund. Mr. Kennedy joined Fidelity in 1994 as a research analyst covering investment opportunities in India and the regional power sector. In September 1998, he became assistant manager of Fidelity Pacific Basin Fund. Mr. Kennedy was the primary manager of Fidelity Pacific Basin Fund from December 1998 and Fidelity Advisor Japan Fund from June 2000 until September 2002. Previously, Mr. Kennedy served as director of equity research in Fidelity's Hong Kong office. He also served as group leader of the Global Research Group. Mr. Kennedy again managed Fidelity Pacific Basin Fund from September 2003 until October 2004, when he assumed responsibility for Fidelity International Discovery Fund. He began managing Fidelity Advisor International Discovery Fund in January 2005. He co-managed Fidelity Advisor Global Capital Appreciation Fund from December 2005 until September 2006. Mr. Kennedy was named interim co-manager of Fidelity Aggressive International Fund, Fidelity Advisor International Capital Appreciation Fund, and VIP International Capital Appreciation Portfolio from January 2006 until September 2006. He began co-managing Fidelity Worldwide Fund in January 2006 and became lead manager of the fund in October 2007. In March 2009, he became co-manager of Fidelity Advisor Worldwide Fund.
