ROBERT ROUTH joined Jefferies & Company in July 2004, specializing in
the cable/media and entertainment industries. Focusing on small, mid-
and large cap equities, Mr. Routh places a strong emphasis on strategic
research in addition to fundamental research. Prior to joining
Jefferies, Mr. Routh was at Natexis Bleichroeder, where he and his team
(David J. Brenner, Meredith Fisher, and Marie Johnson) received
Institutional Investor Honorable Mentions in both the cable and
entertainment sectors in the years 2001, 2002 and 2003. Before that, he
was a media analyst at Ladenburg Thalmann, Bear Stearns and Merrill
Lynch, and qualified as a tax CPA with Arthur Andersen. Mr. Routh
attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he
received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's
