NICHOLAS KAISER is Director and President of Saturna Capital
Corporation. He was born in Bellingham, Washington. Mr. Kaiser
graduated from Yale College with a degree in Economics and
obtained his MBA from the University of Chicago in 1968, with
dual majors in International Economics and Finance. He purchased
control of Unified Management Corporation (Indianapolis) in 1976,
and built it into a mid-sized investment management and brokerage
firm. Mr. Kaiser and his family control Saturna Capital through
its voting stock. A Chartered Financial Analyst, he is Saturna's
Research Director and serves Saturna's Mutual Funds as President
and Equity Portfolio Manager. Mr. Kaiser's industry activities
include service with the Investment Company Institute (past
Governor), Association for Investment Management and Research
(past Chapter President), International Association of Financial
Planners (past Chapter President) and No-Load Mutual Fund
Association (past National President). His voluntary activities
include Mt. Baker Council of the Boy Scouts of America (Executive
Vice President), St. Paul's Episcopal School (President), B.C.'s
Island Trust Fund (Advisor), Fourth Corner Economics Club

TWST: First, would you give us a brief overview of SaturnaCapital Corporation and your responsibilities there?
Mr. Kaiser: Saturna Capital is a small investment advisor in
Bellingham,
