NICHOLAS H. DAVIS, President and CEO of Montana Investment Advisors,
Inc., was born in New York City in 1938. He grew up in New Jersey,
graduated from Princeton with honors in 1961, and received his MBA from
Stanford in 1963. He started as a Security Analyst with Fahnestock in
1963 and was Manager of Research at Andersen & Co. from 1967 to 1971.
Mr. Davis was Director of Research and Asset Management at Boettcher, in
Denver, Colorado from 1971 to 1976. He was Vice President of Corporate
Finance at White Weld from 1976 to 1978 in Denver. He was Investment
Vice President of PaineWebber in Denver from 1978 to 1992. He founded
Montana Investment Advisors in 1992 with his ex-PaineWebber partner and
wife, Brenda Molen Davis. She is a fifth-generation native of Montana
and a graduate of the University of Montana, with 20 years in asset
