Jeffrey Kao is Vice President and General Manager of NCR Healthcare, focused on driving the innovation and adoption of multichannel self-service solutions that empower patients to take a more active role in managing their care. In this role, Mr. Kao is responsible for the profitable growth of NCR's patient-facing solution portfolio - notably NCR MediKiosk and NCR Patient Portal - as well as setting the direction for the future of self-service in health care. Mr. Kao brings a keen understanding of the health care industry. Before joining NCR in August 2010, he worked at Hill-Rom Services, Inc., where he was responsible for nearly $1 billion in revenue as President of North America Acute Care. Prior to that, Mr. Kao held several positions within GE Healthcare, including general management leadership in health care information technology, PET and nuclear medicine imaging. Throughout his career, he has consistently led organizations to accelerated growth and profitability. Mr. Kao holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle and a master's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley.
