Roger R. Hopkins, CPA, joined National Health Investors on July 1, 2006, and was named Chief Accounting Officer on Dec. 31, 2006. Until joining the company, he was a Partner in the Tennessee regional accounting firm of Rodefer Moss & Co., PLLC. He was previously a Senior Manager in the Nashville, Tenn., office of Deloitte & Touche LLP. Mr. Hopkins received his B.S. in accounting from Tennessee Technological University in 1982.J. Justin Hutchens was appointed Chief Executive Officer and President of National Health Investors, Inc., in March 2011. He joined NHI as the President and Chief Operating Officer in February 2009. Prior to joining NHI, Mr. Hutchens had 15 years of field operations background in the senior housing and long-term care industry, including national operating experience as the Senior Vice President & COO of Summerville Senior Living in 2003 until the Summerville merger with Emeritus Senior Living in 2007, at which time he was appointed the Executive Vice President & COO of Emeritus. He holds an M.S. in management from Regis University in Denver, Colo., and a B.S. in human services from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colo.
