MICHAEL MCMAHON, a Managing Director of Sandler O'Neill & Partners, LP,
joined the firm in 1998. He is responsible for covering West Coast banks
and thrifts, and mortgage finance companies on a national basis. Prior
to joining Sandler O'Neill, he was an Associate at UBS Securities in San
Francisco from 1996 to 1998, where he followed the mortgage finance
industry. From 1980 to 1996, he was with First Interstate Bank of
California where he was mainly focused on lending to the mortgage
finance industry. He earned his BA from the University of San Diego in
1980. He is a speaker at bank, thrift and mortgage banking conferences,
