SANO M. SHIMODA is President and Founder of BioScience Securities Inc.,
a boutique brokerage firm located in Orinda, California. Prior to
founding BioScience Securities, he was an analyst at The First Boston
Corporation, Montgomery Securities, and was co-founder of a brokerage
and investment banking firm specializing in the chemical industry. Mr.
Shimoda received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from
Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from the University of California,
Berkeley. He has made numerous presentations in the U.S. and worldwide
to a broad array of companies and industry groups focused on the impact,
changes, and opportunities that will be created by agricultural
biotechnology. Mr. Shimoda has been seen on CNBC, PBS' McNeil-Lehrer
News Hour, and Japan's version of 60 Minutes. He serves as an Advisory
Board member to the College of Natural Resources of the University of
