Monotype Imaging Holdings, Inc. – Doug Shaw

Doug Shaw brings more than 30 years of experience in executive and management positions to Monotype Imaging, a leading supplier of text imaging solutions to consumer electronic device manufacturers and creative professionals. Mr. Shaw has been CEO and President since January 2007, and in July 2007 he led the company to a successful IPO. From November 2004 until December 2006, he was Executive Vice President and a member of Monotype Imaging's board of directors. He was instrumental in the management initiative leading to the Agfa divestiture in 2004. From 1988 until 2004, Mr. Shaw served in various business planning, sales, marketing and product management capacities for Agfa. From 1981 until it was acquired by Agfa in 1988, he was employed by Compugraphic Corp., where he co-founded the Font Technologies division in 1986, establishing the business that eventually became Monotype Imaging. Before joining Compugraphic, Mr. Shaw was a Corporate Services Officer for the First National Bank of Boston. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Boston College and an MBA from Babson College. Mr. Shaw is active in various organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics and Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Mr. Shaw: We're in an interesting business. The way I position this is we're in the business of combining design with technology to
