MICHAEL D. DURHAM, President of ADA-ES, Inc., has been involved in the
measurement and control of air pollution from utility and industrial
sources for the past 28 years. Dr. Durham founded ADA Technologies in
1985 and, from that time until 1996, was responsible for over $40
million in R&D funding from DOE, EPA and EPRI. He was appointed by DOE
Secretary Abraham to the National Coal Council. He has presented and
published over 180 papers and has been awarded 10 patents. Dr. Durham
has a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, an
ME in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida, a PhD in
Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida and an MBA from

TWST: Would you give us a brief history of ADA-ES as well as an overviewof your company's operation?
Dr. Durham: I started a company called ADA in 1985, primarily doing
environmental and
