MICHAEL W. BONNEY has served as Cubist's President and Chief Executive
Officer of Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and as a member of the
company's Board of Directors since June 2003. From January 2002 until
June 2003, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Cubist.
From 1995 to 2001, he held various positions of increasing
responsibility at Biogen, Inc., including Vice President, Sales and
Marketing from 1999-2001. While at Biogen, Mr. Bonney built the
commercial infrastructure for the launch of Avonex. Prior to that, Mr.
Bonney held various positions in sales, marketing and strategic planning
at Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, ending his 11-year career there serving as
National Business Director. Mr. Bonney received a BA in Economics from
